Hello just fort i would ask i have dyed my hair a lot and i used to always dye it bleach blonde and one day i decided to buy a dye called Schwarzkopf chocolate blonde and it didn't say nothing about don't put on blonde hair. so me being silly i just put it on Straight away and had to buy another one so i had to on my hair and it went blue.. i emailed the Company and sent the photos but they never sent anything back. anyways i now got rid of the blue and used a dye out of the pound shop and its been drying my hair out and i cant seem to find a really good shampoo and conditioner can anyone help me thanks a lot :).

try trezamay for dry hair thats wat i useAnyone know a good shampoo and conditioner for dyed hair.!?
Neutrogena Triple Moisture.
No wonder. Your buying shitty dyes. Buy Revlon or Natural instincts hair dye. Also buy back basics shampoo and conditioner. Its around 8 bucks for a regular bottle and 24 ish for an extra large bottle. The extra large bottle will last your more than 2 months. You should buy two types. You should get the mango coconut one to use 2-3 days out of the week. This shampoo and conditioner is very hydrating. Since you dye your hair a lot you need it. Then buy the vanilla plum. It's not as hydrating but it helps strengthen your hair.

The coconut mango looks like this.

Absolutely do not under any circumstances use herbal essences, dove, pantene or cheap shampoos or conditioners like them. The ph balance in them is completely off and contains harmful ingredients which are more harmful to bleached or dyed hair. One of the worst ones being Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
don't use cheap dyes. you already should have learned your lesson. haha

But try herbal essences. The kind for died hair is in the red bottles.

It smells amazing and it works good!

What is a GOOD shampoo and conditioner to treat dry and damaged hair?

I have been looking for a very good shampoo and conditioner for dry and/or damaged hair. My hair is completely healthy but it is still very dry, ESPECIALLY my ends. I need a very good hair shampooe and conditioner to cure my dry hair. I want something that will make my hair not frizzy after I wash it, smooth and shiny. I know there are shampoo and conditioners out there that do these things because I have seen it.

I just don't know what to get.

Please no hair products like $60+

I do NOT like generic shampoo or conditioners they do nothing for you but strip your hair of its natural oils.

I am looking for something that you would have to purchase directly from a beauty supply store. What is a GOOD shampoo and conditioner to treat dry and damaged hair?
I use Matrix Sleek Look Shampoo and Conditioner (the longer you use it, the better your hair will get).

Then for anti-frizz I use Bain de Terre Recovery Complex Anti-Frizz Silky Shine Serum.

Sometimes when I'm finishing up, I put lotion on my hands and dab some of the lotion on the ends of my hair. What is a GOOD shampoo and conditioner to treat dry and damaged hair?
since ur hair is dry for like 1month at da tips.

u could have dry ends..maby thats the cause.

if so u can cut the dry ends by a professional. if not, me myself i have dry hair and not heathy i use this really good shampoo and conditioner..its something i remember thats it is called joeice or something like that..is to restore hair..i think

i got it from a salon
The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells absolutely awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get organix at a bunch of places including Target, Albertsons, Walgreens, CVS, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Duane Reade, Safeway, etc. You'll love it!!!

http://www.organixhair.com/

.
the best thing is biolage hydratherapie line and conditioning balm!!! its the best ever, you'll never go back.
I've looked like all over and tried tons... My hair always ends up dry. But I recently tried the Aussie Shampoo,/Conditoner (2 seperate bottles) Moist for Dry/Damaged Hair and it totally rocks. My hair always ends up nice and soft and I just love it. You can get it from any local drugstore
USE LORE'L ANTI BREAKAGE
garnier fructis
my hair was like that

i bought

shampoo: schwarzkopf repair thing?? i got it from a shop in the UK though.

Also a very good conditioner is l'oreal intense reapair ani-breakage

you can get that from the l'oreal website or a salon.
panteen
not pantene pro v it damages your hair um maybe infusiun 23!
DOVE , it contains moisturizing milk. get the light blue bottled conditioner not the dark blue one.
You could try a hot oil treatment instead such as the V05 moisturising soak. That makes your hair really soft.

Help Need to find shampoo and conditioner for very long hair?

oh and please tell me where i can buy your recommended product in uk englandHelp Need to find shampoo and conditioner for very long hair?
I'm not sure about England but here's some pointers. Cut ends are you really going to miss a few inches if its that long? Deep condition ESPECIALLY saturate the ends (you can get it done at a salon which I recommend) or you can buy a salon or store product but I recommend something that says ';deep conditioner'; and a ';[daily] leave in conditioner'; is good. I know u don't want to spend a lot but going to a salon first or even trying a salon product like deep conditioner might be cheaper than trying lots of stuff. The Herbal Esscenses Hello Hydration would be more nourishing for damaged hair than the long hair one. I have short hair but when it's been longer a few inches off and a deep salon condition does a world of difference and I ALWAYS use more conditioner than shampoo, don't be afraid to run outta conditioner before you run out of shampoo. And use a large shower comb to comb through your hair after the conditioner has been let to sit in your hair for awhile THEN rinse!Help Need to find shampoo and conditioner for very long hair?
use joico moisture recovery, its really good for dry hair it costs 拢10.78 bit its totally worth it. ill put a link for where to buy it http://www.theshampooshop.com/joico-mois鈥?/a>
Just just getting the dead ends cut of, it will make your hair soo much healthier! then use john frida products or paul mitchel, they are more exspensive but worth the extra money because they work soo well!
Try the Aussie line.

Does a hair straightening shampoo/ and/ conditioner work...?!?

i don't want to use a flat iron because it takes too long for me...

so my mom told me to use a hair straightening shampoo and conditioner...

my hair is not 100% straight...

it's thick,

my hair is just medium...

it's blackish brownish...

i'm half asian, canadian...

my hair gets really puffy after blowdrying...

i have layers

it's kind of wavy on the bottom of my hair after shower...

like at the tip...

one side curls to the right,

and the other side curls to the left...

so my hair looks like one side is shorter than the other...Does a hair straightening shampoo/ and/ conditioner work...?!?
I use straightening shampoos and conditioners and find that they do work, but you still have to blow dry and comb at the same time if you want it perfectly straight. Once the hair has dried, then use hair cream to take out the puffiness and frizz. I use Sunsilk, or a salon brand called Seriously Straight for the shampoo and conditioner, then I use Sunsilk cream afterwards.Does a hair straightening shampoo/ and/ conditioner work...?!?
not it will most likely not work. i've heard that it did nothing.

i have super straight hair, and i use a straightener. i find that when my hair is shorter and the layers or shorter, i have to straighten it otherwise it's all over the place. i would recommend you grow out your hair if you want it to be straighter without using a straightener. also consider using a brush while blow drying your hair, it makes a difference if you pull it straight.

all in all, a straightener is the best way to get straight hair. or a japanese perm.
Unfortunately, those kinds of shampoo's don't work... I've got super curly hair as well... Mine's thick and coarse, and I've tried everything as well. I use a straightener, though... you can try the shampoo's if you really want to, but it will most likely be a waste of money... Sorry, but good luck!
I've tried a hell of a lot of those kind of shampoos, but they hardly work at all.

Just get a GOOD straightening iron and it will only take a few minutes to get all your hair completely straight.
I use the shampoo Garnier Fructis. and as well as conditioner. it leaves my hair nice and shiny. and healthy to. i straighten my hair with a straightener and it stays straight. and no split ends. =)

What is a good shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair due to hair straightening and blowdrying?

I have been using a hair straightener for the past 3 years daily and frequent blow drying. I know it is really bad for you hair but i would like to find out how to some what reduce the damage that has been done. I can not stop straightening my hair to make it healthier because it will look like a mess. What shampoo, conditioner and thermal protectant are the best for my damaged and thick hair.

p.s. i hear that all drugstore shampoos have bad ingredients and are horrible for you hair so if possible please do not list any products with silicon or drying agents like alcohyl or fake colors and etc. What is a good shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair due to hair straightening and blowdrying?
Dove heat protection therapy shampoo and conditioner. Its in a red bottle. What is a good shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair due to hair straightening and blowdrying?
joico moisture recovery shampoo and conditioner, also might want to use a healing serum of some sort. i don't know about thermal protectants because i don't use them. you can find these products usually at your local salon.

Hey! I live in the USA, but I love Garnier Sleek and Shine. It's in a big lime green bottle and it works great! My friends are always commenting on how smooth and shiny my hair is. My friend said that was all she looked at when I sang my solo in our school play. They should have it in Australia also. Hope I helped! What is the best shampoo and conditioner to get soft, silky, clean hair? (Australia only)?
I love Quantum Shampoos and Conditioners! They are sold at Sally's Beauty Supply. They make your hair feel like silk and the softness lasts all day. I have super picky hair so my hair dresser told me about Quantum products. It makes my thick hair soft, and minimizes any split ends. I have used Quantum for about 3 years and am very pleased with the results!

i like a product called sleek its got cocunut in it so its very conditioning and helps it shine its good to remember though you should never use the same shampoo and conditioner you need to switch the brand every so often or your hair will not feel the same after a while of using the same stuff

Aussie (products) or Infusium? [shampoo and conditioner]?

it's kind of dry normally slightly damaged

    mid length

ive heard tresseme is good too which of the 3?Aussie (products) or Infusium? [shampoo and conditioner]?
Just so you know its ok to mix brands, you can take different products from different brands and mix them to create a combo that works great for your particular hair. For instance, Aussies 3 Min Miracle is a GREAT deep conditioner (sydney smooth treatment since you have frizzy hair) %26amp; i also love Infusium 23 leave in conditioner (Frizzology), I havent used Aussie shampoo in years but i would go ahead and try theirs.

Another brand shampoo that works great on dry frizzy hair is Loreal Vive Pro Hydra Gloss Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner, it leaves your hair SO soft and shiny!

Dont get caught up on the idea of salon products, sometimes theyre not necessarily better, my favorite products right now are actually drugstore products, and the Loreal has gotten my mothers hair (that used to be dry and damaged) so healthy!Aussie (products) or Infusium? I also have very thick, hard to manage, curley hair. The best shampoo and conditioner I have found is Redken Fresh curl shampoo and conditioner. Yes, it is a more expensive salon product, but it is worth it. Regular drug store products coat your hair in wax, which makes it seem shiney for the first few washes, then dull, greasy, and dead looking. Even tresseme, which claims to be a salon product.

Good luck, I know curley hair can give you hell.

    :)
If it makes any difference to you, aussie tests on animals.

    I've never heard of infusium.
I used to use tressemme. But now I just use Frizz-ease. Try it and let me know if it works or not.

What's the best shampoo and conditioner combo I can use?

My hair is thick and very wavy (loose curls). My hair is a bit dry and frizzy. I don't want a shampoo that's specifically for wavy hair because I like to leave my hair in it's natural texture or heat style my hair. I'd also like a shampoo/conditioner that has a really good smell or just a barely-there-smell. If you can, please recommend me a good leave in conditioner good for both heat styling or applying before gel/mousse.

Thanks! What's the best shampoo and conditioner combo I can use?

you should use pantene pro-v shampoo and conditioner. it's really good and healthy for your hair, and it smells good and make it so soft to. then before you blow dry your hair get this biosilk container, it's like a clear little bottle and it's like a conditioning thing and put it on the ends of your hair and then blow dry your hair with your head hanging down. and then do whatever style you want. :) it really helps me it gives it the bouce and volume and intestity and shine and softness :)

What's the best shampoo and conditioner for African American male's hair?

I don't want to use any relaxer or perm b/c it like it nappy and dont want it straightened. I just want to reduce the chance of my hairline receding or thinning as much as possible and I want it to be softer and less brittle. I don't like cutting my hair so often and getting it super short like the typical but wave-enhancing formula suggestions are good too even though I don't know how that would work. I heard motions, organix and creme of nature are good...but for MEN? and are there others? nothing over $50 plz :)What's the best shampoo and conditioner for African American male's hair?
Hair is hair, don't get caught up in gender marketing. You might feel silly buying a product for women, but it will work the best so who cares.

    HAIR PRODUCTS:

    1. Ones without sulfates/silicones are best. In the ingredient list if an ingredient ends in 'cone it has a cone in it. Silicones are bad for curly/kinky hair because our hair is porous and naturally sry and silicones are very hard to get out of hair and can build up over time cuasing dryness. So no conditioners and styling products with silicones becuase then they takes harsh shampoos to remove them. The best shampoo/conditioners are in organic stores or online: Jessicurl, Mixed Chicks, DevaCare, Miss Jessie's, Blended Beauty, Hair Rules, Karen Body Beautiful,JASON, Giovanni, Kinky Curly Custard are some of the best.

    http://www.naturallycurly.com/curlreadin鈥?/a>

    2. Don't confuse conditioner with moisture though. Conditioner seal in moisture so some people use oils and conditioner and then wonder why their nappy hair is brittle, tangly ad dry. Water is moisture, aloe vera gel is moisture, deep conditioners are moisturizers. Conditioners then seal in that moisture which IS an important step becuase our hair is porous and loses moisture fast.

    2. Mainstream products for your hair since organic products can get expensive: Pantene, Herbal Essences, Suave, and Clairol are the best. Pantene is great because it makes detangling a breeze. Just try to get shampoos that aren't too harsh, I don't recommend Sauve shampoos. They strip hair of all moisture. Terri @ biracialhair.org has great advice on washing and conditioning.

    3. I personally like all natural products. Apple cider vinegar shampoos hair just fine, olive oil/jojoba oil/coconut and other oils are good conditioners, and shea butter is an excellent leave in conditioner

Here are all the tips I have:

    NATURAL HAIR EDUCATION:

1.) Condition, condition, condition after every time you wash. And deep condition (moisture that can seep in strands and usually involves heat to open hair cuticles) I like Pantene Relaxed and Natural. It has a lot of slip so detangling is a breeze. And apply leave in conditioner daily.

2.) Find out what ingredients in hair products are harmful. Throw out any products you have where the first ingredients are mineral oil or petroleum. Hair grease is cheap and can build up in hair causing dryness as it coats hair like plastic. Product build up=moisture can't get in=dry brittle hair. http://biracialhair.org has a good ingredient list.

3.) Recognize what causes breakage. Unhealthy hair is the main culprit but rough fabrics, heat, dry hair, brushing, rough detangling, coloring, repetitive styling can make situation worse. Always wear a satin cap to bed and sleep on satin pillowcase. Limit chemicals in your hair if you put them in at all. And don't do the same style every day as this creates a breaking point.

4.) Protective hairstyles. I mentioned ths before. Anything covering ends, constricting hair is protective. Our hair is so fragile/easily dried out it's not smart to leave it out daily. Twists, ponytails, braids, palm coils, weaves, cornrows, buns, dreadlocks etc are all examples of protective styling. You can rock an afro every now and then but I don't recommend every day if you want long hair. Moisturize even when hair is protected.

5.) Shampooing. Biggest myth in black hair care. You can shampoo as often as you like and in fact should at least once a week. Why the myth? Harsh shampoos (suave) have surfectants that it is tough to get out of every twist and turn in napptural hair. Shampoo often once you find a gentle shampoo (Nature's Gate, Aubrey Organics or even apple cider vinegar) and eliminate silicones from your hair routine that build up in hair requiring harsh shampoos.

6.) Styling. This goes hand in hand with leave in condish. But you should also get styling products with humectants in them (gels, shea butter, kinky curly curling custard) to style hair with. Napptural hair can do anything you want as long as it is moisturized. What's the best shampoo and conditioner for African American male's hair?
I highly suggest Aveda's Brilliant shampoos. Their whole Brilliant line is amazing for textured hair. They have this product called Universal Styling Cream or their Humectant Pomade that will really put moisture in your hair %26amp; give it a really nice look. Aveda's products are plant-based so it's very healthy for your hair %26amp; doesn't contain any harsh chemicals so that you can reduce the chance of your hairline receding ;)

What is a Good Shampoo and Conditioner for Dead Hair?

My hair is naturally dark black, slightly wavy, a bit oily, and about half way down my back. I've been straightening my hair for about six years now, and the effects are finally showing; split ends and discoloring. The split ends are about 1-2 inches up from the tips of my hair, and the discoloring is a medium to dark brown that is about 1/3 up my hair (the tips of my hair have the majority of discoloring, while the roots and midsection are practically fine).

I stopped straightening my hair about a month and a half ago and started using a straightening shampoo and conditioner (Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight) to stop further damage.

Now, I'm wondering if there is any shampoos and conditioners I can use to restore my hair without cutting 1/3 off. I have my grad in a month and I want to keep my hair long, but I do plan on getting about two and a half inches off.

PS: I hope I provided enough information =P. Also, thank you in advance for answering my question! What is a Good Shampoo and Conditioner for Dead Hair?
I hate to say it, but you just might have to cut that part off. You can try Dove shampoo and conditioner (they have a specific kind for damaged hair). From my opinion, it works well. But once your hair is damaged, there's really not much you can do. It's a good thing you decided to stop straightening though. What is a Good Shampoo and Conditioner for Dead Hair?
HAIR IS DEAD. It is dead protein. u cant do anything to fix the portion thats already dead. the best thing u can do is apply some moisturizing conditioner and leave it @ nyte. i like tresemme conditioner w/ vit e.

i dont like herbal essence since it damaged my hair more...but if it works for u stick w/ it.

plus, the only way to get rid of it is to cut it.
Hot oil treatments work and Shampoo and conditioner something good like Nextus or Joico
It would be best to get rid of all the damaged hair and continue with regular hair trims, but i understand for grad you don't want to cut it all off, so for now, use a good deep conditioner, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle ';Deeeeeeeep'; moisturizing conditioner works really well, if your hair is oily around the scalp just do the ends, also Biolage Moisturizing shampoo and conditioner works really well, you can get an off Brand at salls its called Biotera i think. Those will also work very well. Hope this helps. If you do straighten it, use a heat protectant, Paul Mitchell has something called ';Heat Seal'; it is pretty reasonable and works very very well
well first of all you have to stop using store bought products. These are bad for your hair. Salon quality you cannot beat a bit more expensive but the results are fantastic. When was your last trim? you definitely need to do this. One of the best shampoos that I like are Joico K-Pak or from ISO the moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. Also jet some serum for your hair and a thermal iron spray, this will protect your hair from the extreme heat of your flat iron.Hope this helps, the sooner you do this the better your hair will be.

  • What is the best shampoo and conditioner for me?

    Bit about my hair:

Well, it鈥檚 medium length, my natural hair colour is dark brown, but a while ago I used to dye it blonde with the hair products you get from the supermarkets. About a year ago I started to dye my hair professionally (semi permanent) and the dye colour is closet to my natural hair colour but obviously it fads, so I have to dye it every 4-6months to keep up the darkness of the hair colour, so it looks like my natural hair colour. I use the hairdresser Stefan shampoo and conditioner, because the lady told me it helps leave the colour in my hair for longer, but lately I鈥檝e been using dove cucumber and lemon shampoo. I use to have a side fringe, but I got my hairdresser to part my hair in the middle, so the fringe is growing on both sides of my face and I used to have short layers, but I鈥檓 growing them out too.

    The problem:

I have to wash my hair everyday (shampoo and conditioner) because if I miss one day it just goes greasy. I have a shower about an hour before I a go to bed, so my hair is still wet, which makes it frizzy and all tangled when I wake up the next morning, therefore I have to have a shower in the morning (but I only wet my hair) and because I have school one hour after I wake up, I have to blow dry it, it then gets frizzy and bits of my layers stick out, it isn't shiny, it isn't silky and it doesn't look like I take care of it. I don't straighten my hair, it would just look disgusting with the condition my hair is now, but I only use the straightner if there is little bits of hair sticking out. I actually get a lot of split ends, so I have lots of haircuts so my hair never grows :(

So, can you please tell me a shampoo and conditioner that I should get which can repair my hair, make it silky, shiny and soft? If you have any pointers like showering at a different time or anything please tell me.

This whole story might be confusing but yeah. Thank you in advanceWhat is the best shampoo and conditioner for me?
try a hydrating shampoo and conditioner-that should help your hair...after you shower blow dry your hair and your wont have to shower again in the morning and there are alot of anti-frizz products that you can put in your hair right before you style it before school

hope this helped:)What is the best shampoo and conditioner for me?
Any shampoo/conditioner would be great. You just have to make sure your hair is dry before you sleep. When you're washing your hair, leave the conditioner in for about 3 minutes. You dont need to blow dry your hair, you could just wash it a couple hours before bed and it'll be dry. Straightening your hair could actually make it look better. Like, shinier. So try new things dont have the same routine everyday.
use a herbal essences shampoo and conditioner

just choose one that suits you best

just get 2 quarters size of shampoo and really scrub it in your hair

then scrub really hard to get it out so it isn't soapy

the get about the same amount of conditioner and put it at the last 3 inches {about} of your hair

stick your hands under the shower just to get the stuff off your hands-you should still feel the residue on your hand-just not see it

rub the rest of it on the top-you don't want too much or it will be greasy

make sure you brush your hair really good before you got to bed-it doesn't matter if it's wet

also try not to blow dry it-try yo get it mostly dry before you go to bed-towel dry-shaking it back and forth

in the morning i would straighten it all the way-you may not want to but it looks a lot better in just 15-20 minutes

also have your mom or someone else to get the back if you're not confident

also wearing your hair in a small ponytail helps with frizziness

if you don't want to straighten it-scrunch it

just squeeze excess water out of your hair when you get out of the shower

    then gel it

then scrunch your hair and hairspray it REALLY good

then you can sleep on it and put it in a small ponytail in the morning

    good luck!!!
if yo want a shampoo/conditioner use aussie moist.

but the main thing is to dry your have before going to sleep(blow dry or air/ltowel dry)when you wake up curl or staighten your hair.

*DONT WASH EVERYDAY!!it will make your have worse

*use baby powder/corn starch when it gets greasy(it soaks up the oil/grease)
    i want to silky hair
ok the problem here is you wash your hair everynight.. thats so bad for your hair. go to hairhouse wearhosue and buy juucie products you wont regret it. rockstar stardust $25 will help with the greasy bit. if you cant aford it use baby power. rockstart will last you ages wear as baby power you will need to use a shitload everyday. :) hope i could help.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for me?

I had decided to stop dying my hair, after 7 years of dying it with permanent hair color. I am tired of dying it. My hair is starting to become really unhealthy looking. I am wondering what is the best shampoo and conditioner to make my hair strong and smooth? I don't exactly expect my already damaged hair to become gorgeous, but I want the new hair that is growing in to be in perfect shape and stay that way. I know this is going to be a long, long process, many years. I don't blow dry my hair anymore either, unless I am in a time crunch, which isn't often. I have very thin hair, always have. I want my hair to grow in silkier, a little thicker maybe? I try to stay away from stying tools also. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! What is the best shampoo and conditioner for me?
Well I just asked my mom, and she is a hairdresser, and she said that you should use AG or Wella's damage repair shampoo and conditioner. She said that most of the time you can only get that brand at a salon but she said it's worth it, it's really good. I had a problem like that too, I flat iron my hair every single day for about 3-4 years, and I also coloured it 4 times, and it started to look really brittle, so I used the AG and Wella shampoo and conditioner and it has really helped my hair gain its natural beauty back. Good luck! What is the best shampoo and conditioner for me?
I have thin hair too! I use Dove Volumizing shampoo and I love it! I don't use conditioner because I heard that it can make your hair flat. After I get out of the shower I use the Dove lift and body mousse- it works great! I also have to use hairspray to make my hair look full and healthy and basically ALL the Dove products work wonders! Hope I helped!!!
i dye my hair allot and i use TRESemme it works pretty good for me and my hair. and if your routes look dryed up then get the TRESemme root boosting spray

I bought a new shampoo and conditioner, and they were left in the hot car for a few hours. Still safe to use?

I bought a new shampoo and conditioner, and they were left in the hot car for a few hours. Still safe to use?

I ended up stopping at my aunt's house on the way home from the store (where I picked up my new shampoo, conditioner, and styling mousse). The products were left in a warm/hot car for a few hours, but obviously the air conditioning was on when we were driving home... So, are they still safe to use?

*SOMEONE SAID TOXINS COULD HAVE SEEPED INTO THE PRODUCTS... TRUE?I bought a new shampoo and conditioner, and they were left in the hot car for a few hours. Still safe to use?
Is it just me, or have you repeatedly asked this?

It's fine to use.I bought a new shampoo and conditioner, and they were left in the hot car for a few hours. Still safe to use?
    It's safe it's not food.
No, it's not true. That's the dumbest thing I ever heard.
they should be fine to use. people sell stuff like that at flea markets all the time. i think long exposure can lead to separation of the ingredients but a few hours is nothing. people shop ,leave there stuff in the car and go shopping some more all the time.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for making wavy hair become curlier?

I have wavyish curly hair. I usually have curls at the ends of my hair and when i brush my hair it gets more wavyish. I would like to use a shampoo that will cradle my curls, enhance them. Also my hair is pretty thick, course, and frizzy, LITERALLY.

Please someone give me the best products for my hair type

and I dont care about the price. I dont mind expensive at all.

I prefer products with no alcohol but if there is alcohol, its okay too.

BTW. I live in Seattle, so its usually rainy, or really dry cold weather. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for making wavy hair become curlier?
KMS California is my FAVORITE product. They truly do what they say they are for which i find rare in hair products. They have a shampoo and conditioner called CurlUp that works amazingly. Also they have different styling products to help enhance curl and calm frizz. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for making wavy hair become curlier?
I believe there is one that is available at most drug and/or grocery stores called Wash %26amp; ( 'N) Curl. I have straight hair and when I curled my hair after using it, I had gorgeous curls all day long. The only drawback was it seemed to lighten my hair color after frequent use.
I would recommend an intense moisturizing shampoo AND conditioner. I recommend such brands as Herbal Essense, Nexxus, BioMatrix. Good Luck!
i dunno about in seatle (im from florida) but i use this treseme stuff and i luuuuuuuuuuuv it so much keeps my hair curly and it rocks!!!!!
the purple herbal essence it is so good smelling and it helps my curls stay curls and not bust and be frizzy

What is a good shampoo and conditioner?

What are some good shampoos and conditioners that will keep my hair silky and smooth? I have kinda oily hair and was wondering what works good? All the kinds I use don't seem to help. Thanx! What is a good shampoo and conditioner?
Dont go out and buy anything expensive.

First: Purchase a mild Shampoo (To Clarify hair, I will explain why)

Second: TRIM your hair ends (May 1 1/2 to 2 inches)

Third: Here's the magic part: Mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado oil and a ';little'; honey, (honey u will have to heat so it can blend). Either leave on ALL day or all night (if all nite, DONT use honey)

Use a teaspoon of every oil and honey,.... a little more if ur hair is long or a little less if ur hair is short

Repeat this 3-4 times a week, your hair will grow like a weed, fortify, reconstruct, moisturize, soften %26amp; remove all frizz I promise,..... and it will be super shiny!!!!

The clairifying shampoo will help take the oil off your hair when u shower

You can also use a conditioner but get a light conditioner that wont wiegh ur hair down, becuz u can over condition, I use herbl essences ';clean happy'; conditioner.

When I do this at nite, I wake up, shampoo %26amp; condition, rinse and style as usual. Has worked for years

You can find olive oil anywere, but the other oils you will have to buy at a local organics store, wholes foods or BJ's health corner.

sunsilk shampoo n conditioner( black bottle)
All shampoos and conditioner are good if they are belongs to good company and pH balanced. Outer treatment like shampoo and conditioner are not going to make much difference. For good healthy hair your overall health should be sound. Take plenty of fluids every day. It lubricates both your skin and hair.
The absolute best is the new brand called Organix. It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free, plus...it smells awesome! Organix has different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Albertsons, Kroger, Bed Bath %26amp; Beyond, Safeway, Duane Reade, etc. You'll love it!!!

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo and Conditioner work really well. i have oily hair too but it keeps my hair smooth and silky. I suggest The coconut milk and orchid scent in the blue bottle. It makes me feel refreshed to and my hair has lots of bounce and shine. I love it and you will too.
Pantene Pro-V is a great source for both shampoo and conditioner. Pantene keeps your hair soft and smooth and lookin' good when it's open. Seeing that you have oily hair, you should probably wash with the moisturizing type once or every other day. But, make sure that every time you wash your hair, you use both shampoo and conditioner!

  • Can u use conditioner as shampoo?

    no

    u can'tCan u use conditioner as shampoo?
Depending on your hair type, yes. It's called ';no pooing';. This is how I wash my hair. It's perfect for me, because shampoo dries my hair out.

I've been conditioned long enough so that I'm scared to completely eliminate shampooing though, so I condition my hair daily, but once a week, I shampoo.

Edit: You can read about the ';no poo'; method here: http://motowngirl.com/no_shampoo.phpCan u use conditioner as shampoo?
washing your hair is like giving your hair and scalp a oil change. shampoo removes the old oil and any thing caught in it while conditioner is the new clean oil so your head doesn't get dry
Yes, it's called condition washing or condition only. Many curlies do this instead of shampoo. If you have curly hair, check out naturallycurly.com for more info.
You might like a two-in-one. That's a shampoo and conditioner combined. Conditioner alone will leave your hair less then attractive.
no but if you are stuck just use dish soap it will do the job.
No , unless u want really greasy hair.
welll you can use anything to wash your hair so i guess so. but u wouldnt git a good lather with conditioner.conditioner woulnt lift your hair if you are looking for volume
no, it'll make your hair oily. shampoo cleans your hair out.
no conditioner is for protecting youre hair and shampoo is for cleaniing it
No b/c conditioner is something that conditions not cleanses. Shampoo cleans your scalp.
    i guess you COULD....

but it will make your hair greasy and oil-y
Conditioner is like lotion for your hair; it won't get you clean. If you're really desperate for clean hair, you can use dish or liquid soap.
No conditioner is supposed to help your hair do not use just conditioner.
Yes you can, especially if you have thick and/or curly hair.

I use a conditioner without silicones in and leave it in 5-10 mins before getting in the shower and washing it out. I very rarely shampoo my hair, but once a fortnight or once a month do a vinegar rinse.

Conditioner actually containes gentle cleansers that can clean your hair, I leave it on longer to give them time to work.

Shampoo is actually bad for your hair, it strips the natural oils and makes it get oilier faster, thats why a lot of people who grow very long hair don't use shampoo (then again, some are lucky and can get away with shampooing and conditioning and still have great hair no matter what they do...)

The only problem is that if you shampoo a lot now then your hair may go through an oily stage until it gets used to the gentle cleansers in the conditioner, but in a few weeks it should balance out and be fine. You just have your scalp time to stop producing oils so rapidly, when people shampoo their scalps (you are never meant to shampoo the length, just ears up btw) their scalps think something is wrong so produce more oils to combat it, when you stop they will still produce the same amount of oil untill it gets a chance to realise it isn't just going to be stripped away soon, and slows down. This btw is also the reason why someone who washes their hair twice a day can't skip a whole day of wash, and someone who washes only once a week or so can go a day more eaisly, as the second person's scalp isn't producing oils in overdrive.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for curly hair?

That actually provides curl definition and really eliminates frizz and adds shine and miosture. I'm tired of buying into those stupid comercials which garuntee to tame frizz and add curl definition, but when you buy it, it turns out it was a complete waste of money. I want less frizz and more definition so I could actually do different styles with my hair or for once just let it down instead of putting it up in a stupid ponytail. I have long curly hair that is a moderatly thick and tends to become extrmemly frizzy when dry and lacks luster and definiton when dry, and has a few fly aways. Please give me a good answer.^-^What is the best shampoo and conditioner for curly hair?

OMG! I have the SAME EXACT problem!!!!!! I would loove to know too!! I use Garnier Frutics Curl and Shine shampoo and conditioner. It doesn't really work that good though.

    :]
Hmmm honestly I think this question depends on a lot of factors...Such as your race (ethnic hair needs different things), the wheather, and the type of hair texture you have. There is lots and LOTS of different types of curly.... Also I think finding the perfect shampoo and conditioner is one of those things you gotta trial and error.... Stay away from Sodium Laureth(el) sulfate it makes lovely bubbles and foam but it drys your hair out quick as a flash. Also the ';heaviness'; of conditioners can impact how your hair ';acts';. Heavier conditioner uis good for the winter and lighter for the summer. and make sure you read the ingrediants label. Biotin, Vitamin E, and such are really good. Oh and you might want to think about the type of products you use ';After'; you wash. I like carrot oil and avocado/shea butter detangler in the summer, while the really thick shea butter and olive oil are best in the winter. It's all a matter of trail and error. Really.

I 'm african american and I have really curly hair. I wasted a LOT of money on crappy shampoos and conditioners until I educated myself about it. I'm sorry I can't give you a name or a brand but I hope I gave you enough info that you find something that'll work for you. Good luck and keep the curls alive!

Best hair spray + hair shampoo and conditioner. ?

Hi. i posted this be4 but the one i got John Frida hair syrum and hair spray, makes me itchy. so back to the store again. Anyways i dye my hair so i usually use panteen or gardenee or a dandruff shampoo + conditioner. but i want another shampoo + conditioner that adds shine and reduces frizz and thick hair. i have pretty hair, but i have to straighten it cuz its TO frizzes and thick. i used to use Matrix, but its to expensive. What shampoo + conditioner do you use thats an ok price?

And whats your favorite hair spray. i use TRESemme and it works, but throughout the day my hair doesn't hold. what can i use with a good smell and it holds? i used to use sunslik. but that become too expensive too. whats a good hair spray thats also an good price? its better if its healthy for the hair and it doesn't test on animals and its eco friendly. Also a hair syrum you use before you blowdry your hair and the same brand name but then a hair spray you use to style your hair. i need it to hold all day without it getting crusty.

also is it ok to keep changing the products that you use?

Ok so i have dry and frizzy hair. As far as the facial cleaner, i suggest the 3-step process by clinique. It may cost a little extra, however it delivers the best result. Proactive also works well, because contrary to popular belief, it doesn't only remove acne, it helps replenish the skin, and maintain a clear face. After i use it, my face feels amazingly invigorated. I don't know what type of hair you have, so i can't be of much assistance in that department. Hope i helped with what i could! Good luck to you!
pantene or L'oreal vive. shampoo and conditoner and other hair products. neautrogena is good for skin. hope dis helps.
TRESEMME OR AUSSIE!!!!! paying extra is worth it if u want to have good hair. i wouldnt recommend suave, pantene, or any cheep brand. from experience they make ur hair worse. good luck to u!!! :)
Pantene is a good brand of hair products.[: Also, Clean and Clear is a good face wash.

  • Which herbal essences shampoo and conditioner should i use?

i asked a question previously about which shampoo and conditioner i should try because garnier fructis hasnt been working, and most people have said herbal essences. i checked there website and they have many different types. which would be best for me. i straighten my hair semi often. my hair is currently dyed but its been faded, and i dont want something just because my hair is dyed. my hair is naturally oily. and gets itchy after using most shampoos, its not lice or anything like that. so by that which type of herbal essences shampoo should i consider. more suggestions on different shampoos welcome =)Which herbal essences shampoo and conditioner should i use?
I would suggest the hello hydration it cleans thoroughly,it's gentle, it's a good Root Lift, has a great smell, improves hair health, %26amp; moisturizesWhich herbal essences shampoo and conditioner should i use?
I would have to go with the Hello Hydration because it makes your hair very lush and it's moisturizes you hair very nicley. It smells like coconut and orchid. It makes your hair very silky which makes it a lot easier to straighten. I use it and my hair has improved so much(:
go on the website .. on you already did. so why ask this question when you've got all your options in front of you? i mean, no one is going to load up the website and suggest one from there, cos they cba, so what is the point of asking this question?
When you said that you iron your hair semi-often I was already thinking the ';hydralicious'; line they have. But since you're hair is oily you shouldn't use anything that hydrates as this makes your oily hair even worse. I suggest either their drama clean or degunkify line. I have oily hair and when I use it it makes me hair feel really clean. It doesn't really do anything but clean your hair though. If you have long hair I suggest their ';long term relationship'; line. It prevents split ends and keeps long hair healthy. If your hairs wavy/curly I would get the totally twisted line to define your waves/curls. Or you could use their ';Dangerously Straight'; shampoo. Its great to use before ironing. There's many you could use. I suggest any of these that I've mentioned. They're pretty good. I hope I helped! [:

Whats a good shampoo and conditioner for dry/itchy scalp?

i have really bad dry scalp, it itches like something fierce...i was using biloage scalp shampoo and i feel like it got worse, so i stopped and started using back to basics normalizing shamoo and conditioner. no change. now im using T gel and i felt better for the first 2 days and now my scalp feels horrible. i have used selsen blue, head and shoulders, garnier. it works a lil bit then my scalp gets really bad. HELP MEWhats a good shampoo and conditioner for dry/itchy scalp?
    Identifying the Source

Allergic contact dermatitis, or allergic contact eczema, occurs when the scalp is exposed to something that the immune system doesn't like. The itchy, weepy, red reaction can be caused by preservatives, fragrances or other substances in hair care products or by contact with allergens like poison ivy. If switching to natural products doesn't help your dry, itchy scalp and you haven't recently come into contact with known allergens, then you can probably eliminate contact dermatitis as your offender.

Seborrhea dermatitis, the most common itchy scalp culprit, is an inflammatory form of eczema of unknown cause. Often, it manifests on the scalp as excessive localized patches of thick, scaly flakes known as dandruff. Switching hair care product brands, increasing moisturizers and altering hair care routines do not affect dandruff. However, one effective solution is the use of shampoos specially formulated for dandruff. Well-known over-the-counter products, such as Head %26amp; Shoulders, Selsun Blue and Nizoral, calm a dry itchy scalp. If these don't alleviate your dandruff, then consult a physician.

The easiest culprit to rule out is head lice. These tiny parasites cavort around the scalp and hair shafts, chewing on skin and laying eggs all over the place. Typically, lice is more common among children. The good news is that although troublesome, lice are easy to kill by treating the hair and scalp with over-the-counter shampoos formulated just for this purpose. Your environment will also have to be aggressively treated to avoid future re-infestation.

Once you've ruled out head lice, contact dermatitis and seborrhea dermatitis as the causes of your itchy scalp, it's time to consider that common dry skin is probably your adversary. Dry scalp skin and the accompanying annoying itch is more common when the humidity is low during the winter. Aging also may be a contributing factor, since dry skin occurs more with age's natural changes. Some people develop dry skin due to hereditary tendencies and one's overall health. Whatever the cause, dry itchy skin sufferers do need to effectively treat the condition for the sake of their own comfort and to prevent it from leading to more serious inflammations.

    Natural Cures

The healthiest things for a dry, itchy scalp and hair care in general are those provided by nature. Free of preservatives, chemicals and artificial ingredients, natural cures and treatments offer the bonus of being thrifty alternatives to commercial preparations, most of which are expensive.

Refresh and relieve your dry, itchy scalp anytime by combining equal parts of naturally cooling witch hazel with room temperature distilled water. Pour it over your scalp and massage it in gently but thoroughly. Blot up or squeeze out the excess and go relax for 15 minutes before rinsing with cool or tepid water. Pat your hair and scalp dry with a soft, thick towel.

Create a restorative moisturizing treatment to use following shampooing. Boil 2 c. of distilled water. Remove from the heat and stir in 陆 c. of rolled oats. Let them soak for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally as the mixture cools. Strain the fluid through a coffee filter into a cup or jar, and stir in 10 drops each of lavender and rosemary essential oils. Cool it to room temperature. Dab the liquid liberally onto scalp and hair, massaging gently. Let it set for 15 minutes, rinse with cool or tepid water, and gently pat dry. You can also substitute this treatment for shampooing, as the oatmeal cleanses, soothes, moisturizes and heals naturally without the need for lather.

Don't be afraid to experiment with the oatmeal scalp treatment. Feel free to substitute other essential oils that you may prefer to the rosemary, but keep the lavender in your recipes. Lavender relieves itchiness gently and naturally. Other natural moisturizing oils that help relieve dry, itchy scalp include chamomile, clary sage, jojoba, lemon, myrrh, patchouli, peppermint, rose and ylang-ylang.

Other Dry Itchy Scalp Care Tips

Dry scalp skin will also benefit from a few other simple things that you can incorporate into your hair and scalp care routines:

Stop using hot water when washing and rinsing your hair. Heat promotes the drying of skin, scalp and hair.

Try not to use blow dryers, hot rollers and curling irons more than absolutely necessary.

    Avoid swimming in chlorinated water.

Don't dry the hair and scalp by rubbing, which only aggravates dry itchy skin.

Do your best not to scratch your dry itchy scalp, which could lead to inflammation and the formation of open sores.

Pat your hair dry after swimming or showering to allow the natural oils to quickly return to your hair and scalp. Distribute these oils over the entire scalp by regularly brushing your hair with clean brushes.

Read product labels when shopping, and steer clear of hair care products that contain alcohol, preservatives and artificial anything, particularly frWhats a good shampoo and conditioner for dry/itchy scalp?
You can try Loreal's Everpure Moisture Shampoo and conditioner. Its sulfate free, so you don't have to worry about any kind of damage, and it costs only $6 for each. I started using it about 6 months ago which is when it first came out. My hair is colored and its unbelievable that my color is still perfect. I just love this shampoo. Try it, i'm sure you would love it too.
try using a shampoo called ';kiss my face'; it comes in a medium sized green bottle and is not too expensive around 10 to 12 dollars, and it works really well that brand also has conditioner but this shampoo really works.
Umm well i was gonna say head and shoulders and selsun blue but idk what to recommend because that is what i used to use but i think you may want to go to the doctor about this one
Try AVEDA Shampoo and Conditioner. They are made of natural products. My daughter and I use this product. It is a little pricey but it helped me with my dry, thinning hair.

Is using one shampoo and conditioner brand bad for you or good for you?

I've heard from a lot of people that you should always use the same shampoo, and conditioner because that way your hair gets used to it. But, I've also heard that using different ones is better because then it always works for your hair, where as using the same shampoo and conditioner for your hair won't leave you with great results. IDK Just tell me if its better to use different shampoos, or the same brand consistently??! Please help- Thanks =DIs using one shampoo and conditioner brand bad for you or good for you?
    No, it's not bad.

Check the ingredients comparing shampoos or conditioners: they are basically the same ingredients, just different fragrances.

People that market shampoo/conditioner make it sound like using both the same brand is good so they get more money for their product. it's all business.

If you go to a hair salon, you can see they use all different kinds of shampoos and conditioners because each one works differently for different hair types.

Hey pretty babe, shampoo and conditioner from Body Shop better or Crabtree & Evelyn??

Sorry to burst your bubble, but high priced shampoos and condtioners aren't any better for your hair than Suave or any other cheaper brand.

What kind of shampoo and conditioner should I use?

I used to have really long hair about to my waist. My hair is thick and coarse. I would always use moisurizing shampoo and conditioner. A few months ago I cut my hair up to my collar bone. Now my hair gets oily and weighed down really fast (in like a day) Im not used to this, I think it may be because I am still using moisurizing s/c. What kind of s/c would you reccomend that I use and what kind of styling products should I use. I like to blow dry my hair straight. What kind of shampoo and conditioner should I use?
john freidaWhat kind of shampoo and conditioner should I use?
i would try Garner fructis or herbal essences. one thing that might be causing your greasy hair is using to much conditioner. before i dry my hair i put this stuff in it called silk infusion and it comes in a small silver and red bottle. u can get it at salons. squeeze a dime sized amount into your hand and rub it in between them then run it through your hair and blow dry it. this will make it really smooth
    herbal essence long term relationship
my hair is pretty short and i like to use herbal essences or...

    try another brand like aveda
I suggest you use either the moisturizing shampoo or conditioner. Don't use them together. If your hair gets oily, you might be able to get away with just using shampoo. Also use a clarifying shampoo once a week to get rid of buildup in you hair.
Same things just don't use as much and not as often.

    Use Suave Shampoo and Conditioner.

    Shampoo: http://www.viewpoints.com/images/review/…

There aren't many chemicals added to it as other well-known brands of shampoo and conditioner so it shouldn't effect your skin so severely. It's also light on your hair and skin so there should be no harm done.

To make sure, before you buy this, squirt a little amount onto your backhand and wait a bit to check of there will be a reaction.

Why do most shampoo and conditioner products contain 3 or more types of alcohol? Does it help your hair?

I was reading all of my shampoo bottles. I have the following shampoos: herbal essences, john freida, pantene, head and shoulders, satinique, and dove... all of which contain high concentrations of alcohol. Is this supposed to help your hair because I believe that alcohol dries your hair out... when products claim to be moisturizing but have alcohol second on the ingredients list... i am a little confused. Is there a benefit to alcohol? If not, do you know of any products which do not contain this ingredient that actually improve your hair's softness, frizz, dryness, texture... help? Why do most shampoo and conditioner products contain 3 or more types of alcohol? Hello Hydration or Aussie brands?

    *edit*

Yes! Lol I'm good at African American hair lol my little sisters are african american!!

Hello Hydration %26amp; Aussie brands are good on african american hair, but after a while your hair starts to dry up (I used it in my sisters hair %26amp; a lot of ppl on Nappturality.com did, too.).

If I were you I would try Creme of Nature shampoo. It's grrrrreat lol. I've been using it on my sister's hair for about a year or so now w/ great results. Right now we're experimenting with different hair products, but Creme of Nature is definitely the best (you can probably find it at Walmart).

As for a conditioner, Suave conditioners like Suave Naturals, Hair Vibe or Suave For Kids are good wash-out conditioners.

For a leave-in conditioner, try Herbal Essences Hello Hydration or Break's Over. Pantene's Relxaed and Natural for Women of Color is a wash-out conditioner, but it is amazing as a leave-in conditioner too!

As for greases and stuff like that, I don't use too many since they clog your pores %26amp; prevent your hair from growing (petroleum=bad for hair, especially black hair). But, if you really want to, I'd say use Softee Coconut Oil Hair %26amp; Scalp Conditioner. It smells sooo good %26amp; it works so well (especially when you're flat ironing your hair) and the best thing is, it only costs a dollar and you can get it at Walgreens!Getting the right shampoo and conditioner for my scalp?

I have thick, bushy, hair with big curls. I don't have much time to style it, so it is mostly frizzy and carefree. I don't mind it that way that much...But it has a really coarse texture and it is exposed to chlorine a lot. It looks dry a lot but it is prone to getting oily if don't wash it everyday. So, what is the best shampoo for my hair type? Right now I am using Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Shampoo and Conditioner. What brand of shampoo and conditioner do you recommend I use in Japan?

I am an exchange student in Japan for about 5 months. I am about to run out of shampoo and conditioner I brought with me from back home and I have no clue what the good Japanese shampoo and conditioner brands are. Im looking for one that is reasonably priced, something not too expensive for a student. Im trying to work with a budget. any recommendations or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)What brand of shampoo and conditioner do you recommend I use in Japan?
I guess it's depend on how much you can pay them for. If you want to save money, you should choose cheap ones. However, any Japanese shampoos and conditioners are quite ok. If you're planning to purchase them at drug stores, I hear 'Tsubaki' is pretty good. I use 'Asiance' by the way. I also hear 'h%26amp;s' is very good, but it's a bit expensive though. If you're a guy, I'm sorry I don't know any good shampoos for guys.

And gatsby is more for hair wax, not really for shampoo. What brand of shampoo and conditioner do you recommend I use in Japan?
Tsubaki (in the red bottle) is definitely the best that I have used, however a cheaper brand is called Ichikami. It tends to be about 300 yen for shampoo, 300 for conditioner. There is herbal essences here, but it is the same in Japan as anywhere else.

  • What Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner...?

My hair is really dry, damaged and it was dyed about a month ago. I'm using Tresemme Colour Thrive Brunette shamp. and cond. for the colour, but I think it's time I got something for my bad conditioned hair.

My hairdresser said that instead of paying loads for the ';better'; stuff, I might aswell get Herbal Essences as it's equally as good if not better. I forgot to ask, and she didn't specify which would be better (at the time, my hair wasn't dry or anything it was a few months ago I just never got round to getting some).

So which ones should I get in your opinions?

Thanks xWhat Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner...?
I would suggest u get one called hello hydration in the blue bottle as it is for dry damaged hair, and it moistures it. There is one for coloured too which is a pink bottle called ignite my colour which smells lush! But i would proberly say the hydration one is best for u, it is their most popular one Good luck :)What Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner...?
My hair was like yours, from having it bleached over and over and then dying my hair as well. My hair was really dry from it all, so I used hello hydration and I noticed a difference after the first wash. After about 4-5 weeks my hair was smooth and all the frizz that was in my hair was gone as well. =D

I hoped that helped and good luck :) x
