What brand of shampoo and conditioner...?

Hi. :] What kind of shampoo/conditioner would be the best? Like, for moisturizing or color care. I've used most of the cheaper ones (Herbel Essences, Suave, Garnier, Tresemme, etc.) and they don't seem to work. I've used one by Nexxus and that was good, but I can't find the same one I used before. I want one I can get at Target or CVS or something. Any suggestions? Thanks is advance. :]

Oh, and is there a shampoo that can actually darken your hair somewhat? What brand of shampoo and conditioner...?
I love Redken. I think they have a color enhacing line for brunettes, but I don't know if it actually darkens your hair. All of their shampoos are gentle on your hair and the conditioners work really well...I wouldn't buy it at target or CVS though. (someone before me had a good explanation of why you shouldn't buy salon brand shampoo/conditioner at drugstores)

You can get less expensive brands that work well too but be careful when you're buying shampoo, they usually have ingredients that are harsh on your hair. Check the label for ammonium lauryl sulfate, ammonium laureth sulfate, and sodium lauryl sulfate. If it has any of those don't buy it. Good things to have in shampoo are gentler ingredients like sodium laureth sulfate and tea lauryl sulfate.

sorry that was probably a lot more then you needed to know! What brand of shampoo and conditioner...?
ythe best moisturizing shampoo is a professional brand..like joico or the iso line found in salons..really worth the money.
well honestly you can't get anything better than the ones listed above at CVS and Target. Try pantene Pro-v. It works real good!
Just so you know....The shampoos you can get at CVS and Target now that you should only be able to purchase at a salon are the same price if not more expensive. The reason why you can't find the same Nexxus shampoo is because that store wasn't supposed to have it, that's why they don't have the whole line of products or are out of them at times. The best shampoo and conditioner out there is Pureology. They are about $25 each at a salon (same price at CVS, but not promised to be real). Also, someone suggested Pantene for a good color shampoo. Hairstylists recommend that and hot water to help get rid of a color if you don't like it, it will actually strip the color out of the hair.

There are shampoos that have pigment in it to help hold the color in. Artec and Matrix have some nice ones, but these are only ones you can get in a salon. I have not seen them in a regular store yet.
i agree, pantene pro-v is the best and you can find it at CVS or Target, it is good for color treated hair and makes your hair soft and silky. For darkening your hair i dont think there is a shampoo only if its temporary dying your hair with shampoo dye but other than that there isnt, at least i dont think.
Try Aussie ranges.
TRESemme Shampoo and Conditioner

Garnier is good, too.

Vive...
my favorite is matrix..i have straight hair, so i like to use the sleek line, but they also have a line for color treated hair. awesome, and my hair has never been as silky as it is with this brand. its about $15 a bottle, and can now be found at cvs and target, or any beauty supply store. my stylist, who is a celebrity hair stylist, uses this brand at her salon.
